Before you ask.
Will lettering hurt my paint?
Not on sound factory paint. Vinyl peels off when you sell or trade the truck. After five or more years in the sun you may see a faint outline where the letters sat, because the paint around them faded and the paint under them didn't. Fresh repaints and flaking clear coat are the real risk, so tell us if the door has been resprayed.
Will it survive road salt and the car wash?
It's outdoor-rated vinyl, made to live outside. Three habits keep it sharp through a Cambria County winter: give new lettering 24 to 48 hours before its first wash, keep the pressure washer tip off the letter edges, and never run an ice scraper over it.
Do I need a full wrap?
Probably not. A full wrap runs into the thousands. Your name and number on both doors starts at $150 and comes off clean at trade-in.
Do I need a USDOT number on the door?
In Pennsylvania, a truck that only works in-state needs one once the truck, or the truck and trailer together, is rated 17,001 pounds or more. It goes on both sides with the business name, in a color that stands out from the paint. We can add it to your door lettering. Not sure which side of the line you're on? PennDOT or the State Police can tell you.
I don't have a logo file.
Send what you have: a photo of the old truck, a business card, a sketch, or just the words. Design setup is free. Vector files (SVG, AI, EPS) move fastest. If yours needs converting there's a small fee, and it's on the price we send with your proof.
